Project overview
The “Natural Dye Laboratory & Planting (NDLP)” project aims to establish a natural dye laboratory in Siem Reap, Cambodia, to promote the use of natural dyes among local weavers and reduce reliance on harmful chemical dyes. The project will involve setting up a dyeing lab and showroom, planting dye trees, and training women weavers and farmers in natural dye production1. It targets 60 women weavers, 20 youths, and 50 household farmers in Banteay Sri Commune. The project also includes volunteer activities, budget details, and is part of the Color Silk (Cambodia) organization’s efforts to empower rural women through weaving, contributing to economic growth, poverty alleviation, and gender equality.
